Do you feel them yet?
As you walk through your house they suddenly hit your ankle. You look down and see a tiny black spot arresting up your leg. As you slap at it, it jumps - and gets away to charge you again later.
Fleas stay with you all year long, but in the spring their habitancy starts growing, and they get more active. Their numbers growth all through the summer months, and soon they're crawling all over your body.

Even if you don't have pets, fleas get into your house. The infestation isn't as heavy if you don't have a furry friend lounging around, but they still pester you. The good thing is when you don't have pets; rehabilitation for these pests is easier for you to perform.
Fleas make great hitchhikers. They're in your yard, and as you walk through the grass they jump onto your pants leg and take a ride inside, where they start multiplying. They jump onto your pets, and take the same ride. Only your pet gives them ideal conditions for living and having a house more than households that have no pets.
You'll find the largest amount of fleas in your pet's popular areas, and that's the first place you'll want to treat. Otherwise the flea house grows over the summer months until they're jumping all over the place, especially in the carpeted rooms and furniture.
Does your pet have one particular spot that it lies in while you're watching television? Spraying that area with a good flea spray is a good idea. The same goes for your pet's bed.
I advise a good sweeping with the vacuum cleaner before you spray the area. That gets most of the live fleas, and the eggs they've laid. For treating the house, or private rooms, vacuum the entire room, set off a bomb and let it do its thing, then vacuum again. The bomb won't kill all the eggs, but if you vacuum every few days you'll ultimately get the live fleas after the eggs hatch. Make sure you get the vacuum bag out of the house after sweeping. The fleas inside can leave back into the house, and if that happens you wasted your time and effort.
Fleas prefer feasting on your pet's blood, but when their house grows large adequate they'll run out of space on your dog or cat, and look for other places to eat. If you don't treat, and the fleas infest your home unchecked, they'll start feeding on you, leaving nasty finding red welts on your body, concentrated on your legs.
When you treat your home make sure you help your pet deal with the fleas on his body. Shampooing on a weekly basis keeps fleas under control. Try separate flea shampoos until you find one that works. I use a combination of ½ Dawn dish soap and ½ white vinegar. It's not a professional mixture, but it works well on my dogs.
A good once-a-month flea rehabilitation is also sufficient for controlling fleas.
Fleas drive you, and your pet, to near insanity if you don't treat early and often, but by using a simple pest operate process, you'll be free of these nasty bugs all year long.
