Self Pest Control
What you need to do is your creativeness and resourcefulness to collect these ingredients to formulate your homemade insecticides. I have identified some ways to create your homemade pesticides to your convenience.
1. Oil, baking powder, and soap solution
In a one gallon of water, mix 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil, 2 tablespoon baking soda, and 2 tablespoon powdered laundry soap. Mix the solution thoroughly and directly spray to your plant affected with aphids, spider mites, white-fly, red ants, and mealy bugs. Continue the application until all these insects are totally wiped out.
2. Tobacco, garlic and hot pepper solution
This is effective for the control of horn-worms, caterpillars, aphids, red ants, fruit worms, flea beetles and other minor insects.
To formulate the solution, you need to soak 1 whole leaf dried tobacco in a gallon of water overnight. While soaking the tobacco leaf, blend around 6 cloves of garlic, 1 table spoon of hot pepper, 1 minced onion, and 1 teaspoon of powdered soap in 1 liter of hot water. Sit down to remove the mixture solution for 2 days, then strain the mixture through a cheesecloth solid particles. Mix uses the same solution with the water that you soak the tobacco leaves to make the solution overnight mix for 2 liters.
Spray the mixture directly on the aforementioned pests. Continue spraying until all are exterminated the invaders.
3 Control Spray Car
Tomatoes are self-defense mechanism, especially aphids. Theleaves of tomatoes contains a toxic alkaloids that can kill aphids.
To make the solution, mix 2 cups of grounded tomato leaves with 2 cups of water. Strain the mixture with a cheesecloth to remove the solid particles and spray directly the solution into the aphids population. If there are still some that are alive, continue spraying until they're wiped out totally.
4. Salt spray solution
Salt solution is an excellent control for both worms and spider mites. Just simply add two to 3 tablespoons of salt to one gallon of water. Shake well to dissolve the salt granules in the water and pour into a spray bottle and spray to the worms and spider mites.
